Striving for the
Spirit of Excellence
PURPOSE:
TO GIVE TOOLS FOR CONTINUED STRIVING
1. mediocrity seems to reign in the now generation
2. thoughts, actions, dress, timeliness, craftsmanship, integrity
SPIRIT = characteristic, guts, inner composition
EXCELLENCE = superiority, brilliance, distinction, fineness
KEEP IT SIMPLE
-
Select a few, good measures in which you want to excel
-
Make sure they have the necessary characteristics which will lead to excellence-not hitting and missing;
-
A LITTLE DAB WILL NOT DO
-
But remember that no measure is perfect.
Having Measures will:
-
Focus attention where you want it focused
-
Ensure that people don't become confused with what you are seeking to project
Remember
You can always add more measures later if you wish. Everything can be improved upon measurement and common sense go together!
